We are looking for chaperones 19 years and older to supervise teenage participants, while serving as caring, adult mentors. Chaperones at all 2025 national participant opportunities will be comprised of registered members of the First Tee Alumni Network Platform.
Help us create a fun and safe environment for participants at the following events:

Chaperones will receive an introductory email from the event manager in early May, notifying them of which event they have been selected for. All housing, meals, and activities will be covered by headquarters.

Chaperones will be expected to book their travel once they have been selected. The chaperone will receive a direct deposit for the total stipend amount via PGA TOUR accounting. If you have any issues or difficulty booking travel on your own, please contact the event manager as soon as possible as they will be able to assist with booking travel.
For accounting purposes only:
If selected as an alumni chaperone, you must submit a W2 and onboarding packet.
Requirements:
Selected chaperones will be required to complete a background check and go through a 90–120-minute SafeSport training online prior to attending an event.
General Responsibilities:
- Create a fun, safe environment for participants throughout the week
- Establish rapport and build trust while serving as a caring, adult mentor for participants
- Supervising participants during non-golf events, including but not limited to on-campus events, field trips, participant free time, and awards banquet.
- Be available 24 hours a day for the entire length of the event. Academy chaperones must move into his/her assigned dorm room for the week. This includes staying overnight, each night.
- Chaperones are expected to maintain proper dress throughout the week. This includes wearing appropriate golf attire (collared shirts, khaki pants, capris pants, shorts of appropriate length, golf shoes or athletic shoes) at the golf course.
- Chaperones should never be alone with a single child where they cannot be observed by other participants or adults.
Daily Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Waking up participants in the morning (Rise and shine)
- Ensure participants never walk around alone and arrive on time to all meals, bus departures and activities
- Assist daily with course setup, maintenance and breakdown
- Assist participants with loading and unloading golf clubs from bus and storage at facility each day
- Observe group during golf activities and assist if necessary
- Have daily meals with participants
- Run errands during the day as assigned
- Relay any concerns/issues to Event Manager as necessary
- Assist with on-site live scoring
- Assist with on-site gifting and registration
- Ability to lift/carry 30-40 pounds
- In case of emergency, call 911 first, then notify staff
- Assist with any other items as needed
Arrival Day Responsibilities:
- Assist with coordinating participant arrivals at the airport
- Check participants into their pre-assigned dorm rooms and assist participants at registration in locating their assigned residence hall room
Departure responsibilities:
- Ensure assigned participants are awake and ready to depart at assigned time
- Make sure no personal items are left in the rooms
- Collect room keys/cards
- If a participant does not give you a key, he/she will be charged for the replacement
- Once all keys/cards are collected, give to Event Manager to return to campus housing office
- Assist with coordinating participant departures at the airport
